"Object Sensation · Sensing Object" — Contemporary Media Link Independent Artists Group Exhibition

When human life and work become computerized and networked, the most obvious change is in the way we read, communicate, and express ourselves. Much energy is concentrated on using images to replace traditional language communication. At the same time, artificial intelligence creates and provides a physiological and technological environment for adapted populations, particularly reflected in the new generation's resistance to traditional reading and the directness of using images for dissemination and consumption.
The rapid arrival of the "era of image reading" means we no longer simply obtain information from images or seek multiple realities from them, but rather face, judge, and process the massive influx of images invaded by multiple realities. As an ancient art form, painting seems to have lost its function of conveying thoughts and emotions, while the love for beauty has become a true portrayal of personal narcissism.
Therefore, the proliferation and consumption of images in the "era of image reading," causing nationwide revelry, has ended the "heroic age" of painting art, leaving painting artists to wade and survive in the ocean of images.
So, in a future that constantly surpasses experience and imagination, what is the purpose of painting art? Are painting artists a window to the external world or a reflection of personal creativity? Perhaps the issue of painting art is not just about how to face reality, but rather how to return to self-awareness and perception.
