As one of China's five major Beidou industrial regions, the Pearl River Delta is characterized by early start, high output value, numerous enterprises, strong innovation vitality, broad application markets, and strong industrial supporting capabilities. Guangzhou has advantages in Beidou chip research and development, high-precision boards and terminals, and application solutions. Together with Beijing and Shanghai, it is listed as one of the three national Beidou industrial park comprehensive demonstration cities. In Guangzhou's Huangpu District Science City, there are hundreds of upstream and downstream Beidou enterprises.
